Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 5, 2026 · DateNight is made by Axe Studios LLC ("we", "us").

This policy explains what information the DateNight app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the app needs to work, we don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name (or your chosen private relay identity), email address, and a unique account identifier.
• Location. With your permission, the app uses your device's location to find date spots near you. Your continuous location is not tracked or stored on our servers; searches use your approximate position at the time you browse. You can instead type any city and never grant location access.
• Content you create. Date plans, favorites, saved places, bucket-list items, past-date history, and couple pairing are stored in our database (Google Firebase) so they sync between your devices and, where you choose, with your partner.
• Purchase status. If you subscribe to Premium, we receive subscription status from Apple. We never see your payment details; Apple processes all payments.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your personal information.
• We don't show ads or share your data with advertisers.
• We don't track you across other apps or websites.

Sharing with your partner

Pairing is optional and by invitation code only. When paired, your shared bucket list, and premium status are visible to your partner. You can leave a couple at any time in the app, which stops all sharing.

Third-party services

• Google Places. Venue names, ratings, prices, photos, and reviews shown in the app come from Google. Your searches are proxied through our servers; Google receives search areas, not your identity.
• Google Firebase. Authentication and data storage.
• Apple. Sign in with Apple, subscriptions, and notifications.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account), which permanently removes your account data from our systems. You can also email us at the address below to request deletion.

Children

DateNight is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and note the change in the app or on this site.
